Young professionals: business travel makes the job!
Young professionals consider business travel as an important work perk. A recent study even showed that 65 percent of young professionals that travel for business regard such travel to be a status symbol. And 39 percent would not even accept a job that does not include traveling for business.
The survey, conducted by Hilton, found that more than one-third (about 36 percent) of business travellers worry about packing the right clothes for situations during a business trip.
The Hilton researchers also found that 65 percent of traveling professionals regularly pack workout gear but end up not using it. Another trend among young professionals is ‘bleisure’ trips, combining business with an extra day or two of leisure. The survey showed that many feel guilty about extending work trips for pleasure.
TravelPulse reports that “69 percent of new business travellers wish they could extend for leisure, but 46 percent admit they feel guilty doing so and 44 percent even worry it makes them look bad in the eyes of senior leadership.”
