Welcome to Santiago de Chile!
KLM has expanded its long-haul offer to South America by offering a new regular flight to the airport of Santiago de Chile. Santiago is the cultural, political and economic center of Chile, where numerous multinational companies have their (head)offices, which makes it an attractive destination for business travellers.
Since February 2, KLM’s ninth destination in South America, is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, with a stopover in Buenos Aires (Argentina), three times a week: on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from Amsterdam and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from the airport of Santiago de Chile.
KLM has obtained the right to welcome passengers in Buenos Aires during the stop on the way to Santiago and vice versa on the way back; this may be an interesting option for business travellers that wish to visit both cities in one trip.
The route to Santiago is the second longest one on KLM’s global network. The longest trip is the flight from Amsterdam to Denpasar, Indonesia. KLM has connected Amsterdam and Santiago for many years, but skipped the route from its network.
