Tokyo safest city to live in
What cities in the world are safest for business travelers to travel to and for expats to live in? You can find out in the latest Safe Cities Index 2017 report, compiled by The Economist Intelligence Unit. This year’s winner is Tokyo!
The researchers of The Economist Intelligence Unit list the safest cities in the world, based on the scores in digital security, health security, infrastructure security, and personal security. One interesting conclusion is that Asia seems to be the safest region in the world. Europe did pretty good, with three cities (including Amsterdam) in the top 10. San Francisco was the only US city that made it to the top 20 of the report.
VivaLifestyleandTravel reports that Tokyo took first place, with an overall score of 89.8, followed by Singapore (89.64) and Osaka, at 88.87. The least safe city in the world is Karachi, Pakistan, with a score of 38.77.
