Taiwan airport will offer in-town check-in
Travellers on flights from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport can now beat the waiting lines at the airport. They can now check-in and drop their bags in Taipei city, at Taoyuan MRT Airport Line station A1, before heading to the airport.
According to TravelWeekly Asia, Taoyuan International Airport is the fifth city in the world to offer in-town check in services. Travellers can check in at least three hours before departure.
For the time being, the service is limited to a number of airlines; among them is AIR FRANCE KLM’s Skyteam partner China Airlines. The check in can be done via a participating airline’s website online first, requiring only the baggage drop at the subway station. Passengers can also do both check in and luggage check in at the self-service check in at the subway station.
