Shhh… business travellers are having fun
Business trips are no vacation. But most business travellers tend to have fun on their trips, without telling anyone about it. In fact, frequent business travellers feel they deserve to take breaks from work while travelling. Surprisingly or not: their bosses tend to agree.
These are the outcomes of the survey: 80 percent feel they deserve to take a break from work while traveling; 38 percent say telling their bosses about their fun is a no-go’; 40 percent aren’t telling their co-workers; 31 percent avoid telling their spouses or significant others. And 25 percent of business travellers carefully avoid posting on social media about their fun.
According to TravelPulse, the survey indicates that 92 percent of bosses and supervisors don’t mind if an employee actually has fun on the road. They support the idea of employees taking personal time to have fun during business trips, like taking time for dinner, shopping, going to movies, theatres shows or sports events – or just hanging out at social events with co-workers, customers or suppliers.
