The infinity pool on the 52nd floor – also known as the ‘sky pool’ – is one of the major attractions London’s Shangri-La Shard hotel offers. The hotel is located on floors 34 to 52 of Renzo Piano’s Shard, at 309 meter the tallest building in Western Europe, made up of 11,000 glass panels with 44 lifts.
The pool is heated to 24C, and opens from 6am to 8pm each day. From the 182-meter level at which the pool is located, you will have a lovely unimpeded view of The London Eye, Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Use of the pool comes at a price. You can only dip in if you are a guest of the hotel, where room rates start at € 565.
