Paris CdG will finally have its airport rail link
Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport will have an express non-stop airport rail link to the centre of Paris. Plans to build this important link are now final; the rail line is to be finished in 2025.
The French government has revived the plan for the link six years after it was due to start construction. The details and viability of the 32km railway line are yet to be decided upon.
Augustin de Romanet, chairman and CEO of Aeroports de Paris called the non-stop rail link a “priority project” for the competitiveness of the airport and said. The project was first conceived in the year 2000 by RFF, rail operator SNCF and Aéroports de Paris.
