The new facility will cover an area of 55,000 square meters. The pier will be used for both Schengen and non-Schengen traffic.
The new pier will be the most sustainable at Schiphol, thanks to design elements such as biomaterial, insulating glass, and reusable plastic and marble rubblework tiles. It will also feature 5,000sqm of solar panels and use rainwater to flush the toilets.
