Five features of today’s smart luggage

The latest trend in the bags business is ‘smart’, with some wonderful digital features, in addition to just carrying your clothes.

Today’s luggage tends to weigh itself. Just press a button and the suitcase – like this Trunkster – will tell you its total weight including contents. The Trunkster has scales in its handle, an easy feature that tells you to take some stuff out to prevent having to pay for excess luggage.
 
Some suitcases have built-in digital trackers or GPS trackers, that syncs with an app to tell you where your suitcase is. Other suitcases, like the Barracuda, have a built-in tray for laptop that folds out from the handle. It is also fitted with a built-in USB charger. Some suitcases even allow you to lock and unlock your suitcase with your smartphone, like on this suitcase by bluesmart. Some bags even have thumbprint opening technology.
