Famous Royal Lancaster London reopens after €88 million renovation
The Royal Lancaster London hotel has reopened – showing a brand new design - following a €88 million renovation. Now that the large project is completed, the famous hotel overlooking Hyde Park shows it fresh and up-to-date look, with a lavish and stylish new entrance.
The entire front of the hotel was remodeled, with dramatic 8-metre high glazed façade as its main showpiece. The lobby now features a sweeping marble staircase to the first floor. The classic hotel has a new and elegant bar – the Hyde Lobby Bar – offering champagne, cocktails, coffee and light cuisine.
eHotelier.com reports that the 18-storey hotel has 411 completely refurbished guestrooms and suites. Every guestroom has a view of London. The prestigious hotel has a rich history. Many celebrities have stayed or dined here over the years, from Michael Caine being filmed for ‘The Italian Job’, Mohammed Ali, Princess Diana and many other royals.
