Extensive renovation of W Hotels in Atlanta
The three W hotels in Atlanta are as good as new, after an extensive renovation. W Atlanta-Midtown, W Atlanta-Buckhead, and W Atlanta-Downtown have undergone major upgrades, which included the refurbishment of 750 rooms and multiple bars and restaurants.
Lodging Magazine reports that several other W Hotels across North America will be updated in a similar way as part of a than $200 million renovation program. The W Atlanta–Midtown Hotel’s new look includes a floral motif across public spaces such as the lobby/bar, check-in desk, and patio. The guestrooms include murals that are a nod to Atlanta’s music and entertainment scene.
W Atlanta-Buckhead redesigned its guestrooms and rooftop bar with artwork from local artists. The hotel now boasts a new welcome area, open layout, and café-style seating in the lobby/bar area. W Atlanta–Downtown has a new restaurant: Local Motives. It includes a bar, dining area, café with workspace, and private dining room with an entrance inspired by Marta train doors, Lodging Magazine reports.
