Dubai hotel in the sky: Waldorf Astoria DIFC

Dubai has a new hotel in the sky – the recently opened Waldorf Astoria DIFC, located in the 18th to 55th floors of Burj Daman. The skyscraper hotel is Waldorf Astoria’s third property in the UAE and the brand’s first urban hotel.

Waldorf Astoria already has two resort properties in the UAE - Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah and Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah.

Obviously, the main attraction of the hotel are the stunning views of the city skyline. All 275 guest rooms, including 46 suites and 28 residential suites, offer breath-taking, unobstructed views of the downtown Dubai skyline, which can be viewed through floor-to-ceiling windows in each room. Furthermore, the location is perfect, in the heart of Downtown Dubai, The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Fountain and Gate Village.

According to a report by Hotelier Middle East, the complex also comprises residences and office towers – hence the addition of DIFC to the name of the hotel: Dubai International Finance Center. The reception is on the 18th floor, which is also home to the hotel’s dining and wellness facilities.

The hotel’s signature restaurant Bull & Bear offers meat and seafood dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner here, with a menu of favorites with a global, modern twist, including the chef’s take on the Waldorf salad.
