Business travelers like the travel part of their job. They appreciate several aspects, like convenient and comfortable hotels, nonstop flights, booking flexibility, and paid time off to compensate for long trips. These are the outcomes of a new study by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Foundation in cooperation with Sabre.

To enhance their travel and work experience ‘on the road’, business travelers are interested in purchasing productivity-enhancing hotel high-speed internet and airplane/train Wi-Fi, seat upgrades, and early boarding.

Business Traveller reports that, besides the perks and amenities (and seeing the world), there are also aspects that are less pleasant. Business travelers find spending time in transit to business meetings and other work obligations challenging. Other challenging aspects of travel, mentioned by business travelers, are layovers (47 per cent), changing a flight or train reservation during the trip (42 per cent), poor work environment when traveling (40 per cent), preparing expense reports (34 per cent), changing a lodging reservation during the trip (34 per cent) and working away from the office in general (20 per cent).
