Best Bars in the World: YIN on 12, Beijing

The New World Beijing Hotel in Beijing now boasts one of the best rooftop bars in town. Opened in May, the YIN on 12 bar offers a four-sided open terrace, that is one of the largest in Beijing.

One of the best things about this 1,100 square metre location that it offers different attractions on a great location. Situated next to the Temple of Heaven, with views over Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, guests can enjoy the East Terrace, where an al fresco corner features tap beers and barbecued bites. There is also a chill-out location in the separated lounge space on the West Terrace. Inside, there is an intimate club atmosphere with an in-house DJ, live local bands and an extensive Champagne drink list. Prices are considered to be quite reasonable, starting at €9 for long drinks. Thursday night is ‘Gentlemen’s Night’: single malt whiskeys with fine Cuban cigars come at a 50 per cent discount.
