A scented cocktail at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin
A great hotel experience often stems from a special touch or a personal service. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Berlin has launched a new bar – Fragrances – that will make a lasting impression on business travellers with scented cocktails that are inspired by designer perfumes.
The bar tenders of the Ritz-Carlton mix scents of famous perfumes into their cocktails, resulting in drinks that are not just enjoyable, but offer a real experience. According to bar manager Arnd Heissen, fragrances is the first bar dedicated to the art of cocktails in combination with the world of perfume and aromas. Hand-picked fragrances of renowned brands by Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Guerlain are the inspiration for the unique drinks.
Bar guests are invited to go to a display that highlights each cocktail and sniff the perfume that is matched with the drink of their choice. Perfumes include Giorgio Armani, L’Artisan Parfumeur and Annick Goutal, Yves Saint Laurent and Guerlain. The scent’s aromatic profile is similar to the cocktail’s and will help guests choose their drink.
Another nice touch from this hotel: appointments for individual cocktail classes are available on request. A class will cost € 65,00 per person including the Book ‘Trend Drinks’ by Arnd Heissen.
