555-room Conrad Dubai opens
A smart luxury business traveller retreat
Dubai’s city skyline is dotted with 5-star hotels, but at least one international brand was still missing. The official opening of Conrad Dubai, earlier this month, corrects this error. The 555-room luxury hotel marks the entry of Conrad Hotels & Resorts into the region. The Conrad Dubai concept’s key words: smart, luxurious, world-class service.
The new hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road perfectly reflects the luxury brand that is Conrad (a Hilton Worldwide brand). The hotel advertises itself as “a smart luxury retreat with a premium range of amenities, sumptuously chic rooms and an intuitive understanding of world class guest service”. The location of the new hotel is another message: though Conrad Dubai offers a warm welcome to tourists, it is the business traveller that will feel at home here. Located amidst Dubai’s bustling cosmopolitan business and shopping district, the hotel is within a short distance of the city’s traditional commercial landmarks such as Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre.
Work and pleasure
The new hotel is all about seamlessly combining work, life and pleasure. How? First of all, the rooms are spacious; the hotel offers different styles of deluxe rooms, executive rooms and a choice of two different executive suites. All rooms offer rain showers, luxurious toiletries and the latest in-room technology with entertainment docking stations.
Another key word is smart, and Conrad Dubai reflects this in many ways. Conrad’s popular mobile Conrad Concierge app is one way; the app gives global travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. You can pre-select bath amenities or check-in while you are on your way from the airport to the hotel.

The hotel’s abundance of facilities makes this Conrad Dubai a great place to combine business with pleasure. The hotel boasts a 5,500-square metre urban pool oasis on the hotel’s sixth floor. Set against a backdrop of tropical palms and lush lawns, the beautiful and picturesque outdoor deck area features two pools, hidden walkways and private cocoon beds. The hotel’s fitness and spa facilities include state of the art fitness equipment, treatment rooms, a thermal Spa, a Hammam suite and an outdoor yoga pavilion.
In addition, Conrad Dubai offers one of the largest meeting and event venues in the city with more than 4,400 square metres of versatile space, including two large ballrooms, three boardrooms, a business centre and 11 individual meeting rooms. The hotel features a naturally lit ballroom and… an indoor elevator designed for vehicle transport, a perfect amenity for car launches.
The brand new hotel also adds buzz and excitement to Dubai’s restaurant and nightlife scene, with Izel – a Latin Supper Club – and Cave, Dubai’s new and exclusive wine bar. There is also the Ballaro restaurant, offering live cooking stations, the Marco Pierre White Grill and Purobeach Urban Oasis, serving signature cocktails amid the extensive sixth floor pool gardens.
