KLM Equipment Services (KES) has made a significant move towards sustainability by transitioning its diesel-powered ground vehicle fleet at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Neste MY Renewable Diesel. This initiative aligns with KES's commitment to enhancing efficiency and sustainability in its operations.

Neste's HVO100, derived from 100 percent renewable raw materials, will now power heavy vehicles at Schiphol that lack emission-free alternatives. The adoption of renewable diesel is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90 percent compared to fossil diesel over its life cycle.

Minimizing emissions

KLM Equipment Services emphasized the importance of minimizing exhaust emissions for the benefit of working conditions, climate, and nature at Schiphol. The transition to Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a significant step towards achieving KES's goal of operating emission-free and contributing to a greener future at the airport.

This shift to renewable diesel does not require any modifications to existing diesel vehicles, ensuring a seamless transition for KES. By embracing Neste MY Renewable Diesel, KLM Equipment Services not only prioritizes efficiency but also demonstrates its commitment to sustainable practices in the aviation industry.
