Singapore WarehouseIn Singapore, travelers can now eat, drink and sleep in history. A 122-years old warehouse along the Singapore River was reshaped into a 37-room hotel with all amenities one can think of, including a rooftop swimming pool. The Warehouse Hotel, focusing on heritage and local culture, is now open for business.

A former riverfront heritage go down (or warehouse) at Robertson Quay has been revived as a cool, stylish alternative to the large corporate hotels. One of the great things of this hotel is that it is all ‘locally made’. This concept was extended from the tea, coffee and minibar inclusions to the staff uniforms and fleet of hotel bicycles.

The warehouse that is now a hotel was built in 1895 along the Singapore River as part of the Straits of Malacca trade route. While much of the history at Robertson Quay as disappeared, The Warehouse Hotel has been meticulously restored as a modern boutique hotel.

The Warehouse Hotel is the first hotel of renowned Singaporean hospitality firm The Lo & Behold Group.

As a bustling riverside location, Robertson Quay is a great place for a hotel like this, as it is in walking distance to Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. The Central Business District and the Orchard Road shopping district are easy to reach from here.
